Who we build for

Websites for trades and home services

Two things decide whether an assistant names you for a home services question: whether you say where you work, and whether you say when.

Most trade websites say neither. They say Call us today, which answers nothing anybody asked.

What this site has to do

  • Name your service area as towns, not as a radius on a map nobody can read.
  • Say what you actually do and what you do not, so the calls you get are the calls you want.
  • Answer the after-hours question, because emergency work goes to whoever published an answer.
  • Show finished work with enough detail that somebody can tell it is yours.

What a customer asks an assistant, and what it needs from you

These are the questions people put to ChatGPT and Gemini about a business like yours. The right-hand column is the part that has to exist in text on a page before your name can come back as the answer.

What they askWhat the assistant needs
Who does emergency furnace repair in Holland at night?Your after-hours availability, in text
Plumber that covers Spring Lake and FerrysburgYour towns, named on a page
Does anyone do dock installation near Whitehall? The specific service, named
Licensed electrician near Norton ShoresYour licence status, published

The pages you actually need

What we do
Specific services, listed. Vague pages get matched to nothing.
Where we work
Towns by name. This is the single highest-value page for a trade.
Emergency and after hours
The call worth the most, going to whoever said they take it.
Recent work
Photographs with a sentence each. It is the only proof most trades have online.
Licences and insurance
The reassurance a homeowner is looking for before they call a stranger.

You do not have to work any of this out. We research the business and build the whole thing before you pay anything, then you say what is wrong with it.

Questions people ask

I get all my work from word of mouth. Why do I need a site?
Because word of mouth now ends at a phone. Somebody hears your name, types it in, and decides from what they find. If nothing comes up, the referral you earned goes to whoever does come up.
I do not want calls from outside my area.
Then the service area page is doing two jobs at once. Naming your towns gets you matched to the right questions and keeps you out of the wrong ones, which is why we would rather list towns than draw a radius.

We also build for charter captains, marinas, restaurants, on-water tow operators and shops and boutiques, on the Michigan lakeshore only.

See yours before you decide.

We build it first. If it is not right you say so, and if you do not want it you owe nothing.
