The calendar is full and it is shared. The Memorial Day parade starts in both towns and meets in the middle, the arts and crafts festival takes Goodrich Park on the third Saturday in June, the Fourth of July parade runs from Whitehall to Montague, Cruz'in brings the classic cars on the last Friday in July, the chamber music festival fills the first week of August, and the Howmet Playhouse, a 400-seat theater from 1916 that the city runs, keeps a summer season of its own.
